Elegant plantings and sophisticated stonework
This custom lakefront home was built in the small town of Niagara-on-the-Lake to accommodate a large family. There was a sizeable front yard and equally spacious backyard with lovely lake views.
The goal was to emphasize sprawling lawn areas dotted with various trees and gardens. The homeowners requested an appealing front entrance and interesting rear entertaining areas including a pool and pool house.
The front yard design incorporated an inviting and elegant entrance with plantings and stonework for all-season interest. The rear yard design used two-toned formal stonework to delineate sitting and dining areas, and outlined a freeform pool for a touch of whimsy. The design left generous lawn areas for play and excellent lake views from every angle.
