A breathtaking lake view from all angles
This ultra-modern style home is situated on the edge of Lake Ontario. Multiple windows allow views of the water, and homeowners wanted a landscape that did not interfere with these views. The space had an existing pool with sloped lawn areas.
The goal was to incorporate additional seating and entertaining areas that would optimize the extensive views of the lake from the backyard without compromising views from inside. Homeowners also requested a firepit in keeping with the existing layout.
The space was designed to mirror the home’s contemporary architecture using materials such as limestone slabs, walls and coping, composite decking, and stucco privacy screens to blend the house with the landscape. Multiple “rooms” were created to allow diverse use of areas, including a sunken lawn area, entertainment and dining areas, and private alcoves, all with amazing water vistas.
